Dress up Dolls quiet book

Hi all
This week has seen me making a quiet book of dress up dolls. It has been such fun,
My cousin Julie sold me her fabric and gave me instructions on how to.
First I had to fuse the back of the fabric, both the dolls and the clothes, with Vliesofix. I had to remove the backing paper and fuse the dolls onto cardboard and the clothes and accessories onto paper. Then began the long slow process of cutting them all out.
I made the book out of material which I was lucky enough to have in my stash. First off I made the pockets and trimmed them with lace or ribbon. Then had to sew them on. I also hand-sewed charms and some buttons on each page to give a little more to look at. The cover and each page had to have fusing and interfacing ironed on. Then they had to be stitched together and turned through before pressing again and top stitching. I think it was well worth the effort.

Mojo Monday Card Challenge

This is a card I made for Mojo Monday's card challenge 357
For those who don't know you make a card from a sketch.
This is the sketch and my card

I used Stampin'Up Whisper White card stock for this and sponged the edges with Strawberry Slush Ink. I made the rose using Filter Paper and again sponged the ink on. The background paper and the strip across the front is All Abloom. (This stack has 48 sheets, 4 each of 12 double-sided designs and is 11.4 cm x 16.5 cm. Ideal for card fronts.) I used Strawberry Slush card stock for one of the tags and ran it through the Cuttlebug with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. (I really want to buy a Big Shot and this month they are on special at Stampin'Up with a free Framelits set and Stamp Bundle.)
The stamp set on the tag is from Trust God.

August

Hi all
This month is going way too fast. I've completed a few cards, made my first mixed media canvas and been sewing top hats for the Munchkins in my daughter's school production of Wizard of Oz. She is the producer. I'm looking forward to seeing the play tonight.
On Thursday a group of us are going to the Craft and Quilt Fair in Hamilton. I'm looking forward to that too. So a chance to learn some new skills and buy some different things to play with. I'm definitely going to Imagine If''s stand and buying her Merry Go Round. It looks such a fun project to do.
Anyway I better show you what I've done today.
I've used Stampin'Up products. Very Vanilla cardstock as the base.
Tangelo Twist on one and the other one Strawberry Slush
I have used the Apothecary Art stamp set and the Labels Collection framelits dies

Have fun and see you next time
Glennis
